We offer a variety of riding tuition to people on our horses or
their own horse.
Most of our tuition takes place midweek, including evenings. There
is the occasional weekend riding.
Riding Instruction from Beginners to Advanced -
all
customers start with a one to one (or two) assessment session which
allows us to tailor our instruction to your needs. Following the
assessment, riders may continue on a private basis or join a small
group with riders of a similar standard.
Clinics - aiming to improve
your skills for a riding holiday or hunting season or dressage, show
jumping or eventing. (Using your own horse or one of ours.)
Take Up The Reins (TUTR) - an opportunity for
complete beginners who have always wanted to "have a go" or "Rusty Riders" to get back in the saddle with other fellow
enthusiasts in a friendly supportive environment.
Exam Training - private tuition, specifically geared towards the BHS
Examinations from Stage 1 - Stage 4 and Preliminary Teaching and
Intermediate Teaching Tests. These sessions are available by
arrangement please phone or e-mail to discuss your needs.
General Horse Care - lessons can be tailored to your
requirements. Ideal for new horse
owners (or parents of children with a pony). It will familiarise you
with the routine care and some of the pitfalls to look out for.
These sessions are available on a one to one basis, by arrangement.
Riding For The Disabled (RDA) - Rea Valley and Baschurch & Loppington Group are two of around 500 member groups of the RDA and are based at Berriewood. The Rea Valley Group has been
running at Berriewood for over 30 years.
